Satellites 03:56
Matchstick heroes in mausoleums the lights come on as we move slowly into the dark and they call out your name but you can’t speak for shame now you’re faced by your own reflection Swinging lightbulbs in dark rooms stuck with portents of doom you turn your curtains to the day there’s no escape still they come And the wheels are all in motion you’re sick inside you can’t abide the eager anticipation waiting for the bright new age to come your idols on the wide screens are screaming out in fright Swinging lightbulbs... Reality’s my poison dripping down and you drown drown drown on the wide sea LISTEN LEARN REPEAT watch drowners on the wide sea and nomads in the sky don’t ask me why why why why why It’s another day another complication.

The Landlord 02:58
The landlord stole the hopes that we kept so close to our hearts enclosure four walls surround broken bodies and broken minds I’m such a good worker you’re such a lazy bastard aren’t you clinging to your window watching the cars crashing in slow motion it’s such a common occurrence these days. MAKE PRIMARK BEND he said I’m not sure what that meant but it might be something to do with the critical mass of the working class he says that they’ll be spilling out into the streets and they’ll be running through the square waving the red flags through the air breaking down the walls but young man you’re reeling your eyes are wheeling up up to the sky and all these things are not much more than your late night ketamine dreams. The landlord stole the hopes that we kept so close to our hearts left us with the dregs of poison drink it down son and make your mind up scrape your heart up though chances are your chance is gone this greed is going nowhere nowhere but despair and there’s still time time for us to change.

Warehouse rumbles industrial thunder we’re making the weather these days up here for the thinking down there for the dancing is what the graffiti says. There’s no gain without change there’s no change without loss there is no gain without loss. Rolling mills fabrications pulling thread spinning twine production line you’ll be mine be mine all mine.
4.
After the smog we are alone you and me and the machines were talking about somebody else you wouldn’t know them REPEAT Buried five miles down in concrete underground oh the bodies they were never found you wouldn’t know them. AND AGAIN Burning five miles high in concrete reaching to the sky bodies were never found you wouldn’t know them but you were chosen.
5.
Sun shines its mournful grace flowers flicker on my face as I watch the gaggle calling out over red brick and slate And I’ve been drifting dazed and vacant trying to make sense of the world it’s all twisted quite distorted and I’m caught by the thoughts that I ought not to have anymore Why would you search for meaning when you know there’s none to be found and the cascading oceans here they make such a peculiar sound When I’ve been drifting dazed and vacant take me to the edge of the world I’ll slip off into the cosmos it’s all been to much and I’m just so out of touch with you all.
6.
Shut away with the mad men chewing on the bones of time writing words for empty rooms out of sight out of mind My voice rises in the darkness fills it up with sorrow’s song far away there’s a city where I belong, where I belong
7.
Little boy lost with eyes aflame asks who is the tiger who is the prey in this city where the atoms fly and never come to rest Through these familiar trails we beat between discos on the night train and beggars on the street those bags of rags and bones sat singing I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW YOU I CAN’T STAY FOR LONG So why so downcast? On that overcast corner the people pass quickly weary with coat collars raised heads held down to the ground Stood in torn up shoes blown by the wind and rain choose a destination the stones and the cracks in the pavement were singing. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW YOU I CAN’T STAY FOR LONG.
8.
Sun shone on an empty tomb where the flowers bloom in Lady Lazarus’s hands they said we’re good as dead but I can never understand why they should talk that way I see but I don’t believe I cry but I don’t grieve and all the walls just seem to breathe out sound and life in five minutes they were so full of light In the gloom of the pub there with the gun straight to your head bang bang you spread your brains all over the front page and the scene closed and the dust rose and you said nobody knows the places you and I can go but we get away I see but I don’t believe…

Poem 00:36
I’d like a perfect skin and a beautiful mind and maybe I would be a more genuine authentic self if I could find another layer of artifice to add to the edifice cos the cracks are showing all the time cracks are showing all the time couple more drinks and by midnight you’ll feel alright.
10.
A one track polytechnic town where the feeling runs so deep you sleep in memories softly spoken under the crooked floodlights I’ll give you anything I‘ll give you everything if I could just stay here if I could just stay here A certain listless daring dissipates slowly over the tramlines motion capture visions of future times are glaring no space for you or I I’LL GIVE YOU ANYTHING... And on the street corners as the cold sets in they gather in shadows and they’re shouting and screaming oi sexy are you boy or a girl? you can be in the pornographic film of my life in six acts each more arty and erotic than the last and it’s easy to let go and it’s hard to hold on when the blood runs cold and the feeling is gone oi oi sexy it’s gone A one track polytechnic town where the sound on the stereo stretches out into yawning endless now into yawning endless now
11.
Shake off the dust of the day tracing lines across the ceiling cover it up in wine stains lost in the fog all evening that clings and hold me closer follows me through the side ways where we spend our time They glitter in the chicken shop windows shine in neon glow and it thrills me so when you take my hand and we go through the crowds of all those glamorous people This place is decrepit love slowly falling apart at the seams we’re stuck in these black and white movie scenes in the grey scale obscurity it’s never ending film noir where all the young lovers are breaking apart slowly breaking As they glitter in the spotlights formed on the sticky nightclub floors and it thrills me so when you take my hand and we go through the crowds of all those glamorous people And at the centre of it all the ghosts are watching the machine bleed into the night where I run to find you You glitter in the bright lit room where the sleeves are strewn all around it thrills me so when you take my hand and we dance to the sounds of all those glamorous people.

Unrest 04:16
There’s nothing much to say through the dreary day smile smile away they’ll never know I’ll never tell what lies behind a blank impression a spotless clean slate and there are voices in your head you must not trust them the unrest eats itself and is born again take yourself back to bed On the crowded street a fierce argument sweeps us all along together blood on his clothes and a half brick was thrown in an unrelated incident both recounted at great length around a hundred pub tables and all your fears subside slowly and then the unrest eats itself and is born again All your fears allay there’s nothing you can say through the dreary day smile smile away it’ll all come round again it’ll all come round again.
